About Dr. Fetterolf
Dr. Ian Fetterolf (he/him) is a post-doctoral fellow who specializes in behavioral health and medicine, mood and anxiety disorders, identity work, and intimate partner/relationship challenges. He takes an identity-centered approach to therapy and individualizes treatment to meet each client’s specific needs. His therapeutic style is warm and welcoming and integrates use of relational, cognitive-behavioral, and psychodynamic interventions. Dr. Fetterolf aims to build relationships with clients that are equally as effective as they are genuine and meaningful. He also enjoys using humor and creativity as tools for healing and connection.
Dr. Fetterolf works with individual adults of all ages and offers in-person services in La Jolla and throughout greater California via telehealth.
Dr. Fetterolf holds a master’s degree in social work (MSW) from the University of Pennsylvania and earned his doctorate in clinical psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology in Los Angeles. He completed his pre-doctoral internship training at UC Santa Cruz’s Center for Counseling and Psychological Services.
