About Dr. Leung

Dr. Iris Leung is a postdoctoral fellow with interests including relationship issues, sexual health, gender and sexual identity, race-based stress, transitional periods, trauma, depression, and anxiety. Dr. Leung’s culturally-informed clinical approach is grounded in psychodynamic, relational, and evidence-based theories. They strive to create a warm and empathic space for genuine human connection. Through collaboration, they work with their patients to explore personal narratives, validate emotions (including how difficult therapy may feel sometimes), identify areas of growth, and foster healthy change.

Dr. Leung enjoys working with adults and couples in Palo Alto, CA, and via telemedicine across the state of California.

Dr. Leung received their doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from The Wright Institute and their bachelor’s degree from UC Irvine. They completed their pre-doctoral internship at San Quentin State Prison. Their dissertation highlighted experiences of queer Asian women in intimate partnerships.
