About Dr. Nagel

Dr. Nagel is a licensed clinical psychologist with expertise in anxiety, depression, parenting skills, stress and trauma. Her work is grounded in evidence-based treatment and she utilizes a collaborative and integrative approach to treatment. She received training in a number of evidence-based treatment approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and the application of Motivational Interviewing and CBT for the treatment of Substance Abuse.

Dr. Nagel works with adult individuals in Berkeley and via telemedicine across the State of California.

Dr. Nagel completed her internship and postdoctoral fellowship at Mount Sinai-St. Luke’s Hospital in Manhattan, where she specialized in treating co-occurring mental health and substance abuse disorders in adolescents. Following her postdoctoral fellowship, she worked at CBT/DBT Associates, a private practice in Manhattan specializing in CBT and DBT treatments for a range of mental health issues treating both adolescents and adults. She completed her doctoral degree in clinical psychology from the PGSP-Stanford Psy.D. Consortium and her undergraduate degree from New York University. In addition to working at the Clinic, Dr. Nagel is involved in research at Stanford where she is currently working on a study examining risk and resilience factors, psychological and biological, in pediatric cancer patients and their families.
